Ken Huckaby Owner & Hitting Coach for the Toronto Blue Jays

I was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1991 after playing 2 years of college ball at Delta Jr. College in Stockton, CA.  I spent 6 years with the Dodgers, having my first experience in the Big Leagues in 1996.  I was with both the Mariners and Yankees in 1998.  While playing Triple A with the Yankees I had a teammate named Clay Bellinger…imagine that.  After moving to Chandler in the fall of 1998, I signed with the AZ Diamondbacks.  I played for 3 seasons in Tucson and made it up with the D’Backs in 2001.  After that, I was fortunate enough to have spent time in the Majors with Toronto, Texas, Baltimore and Boston.  I finished my career with Kansas City.  I have also played Winter Ball in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.  I represented the United States as a member of Team USA in Chinese Taipei during the 2001 Baseball World Cup.   It was during CNLL Majors All Stars in 2008 I saw the need for more defensive based instruction and started Baseball Boot Camp.  My '09 CNLL Majors Red Sox were league Champions and I managed the 09 Majors & 10 Juniors  District 13 All Star Champs!  I am so proud of my Generals 18U Club Ball team.  This age division is very important to me so I can help these boys get ready for the possibility of playing College Baseball.

I began my career with the San Francisco giants from 1989-95.  I then signed with Baltimore for 1 season.  I played for the New York Yankees from 1996-2001 where I was a member of the World Series teams in 1999, 2000, 2001.  I was also with Anaheim during their World Series season.  While playing in Baltimore again in 2004 I was recruited to participate in the Olympics with the Greek National team.  I am married with 3 children and have been a Gilbert firefighter for the last 2 years.  My experience in coaching youth baseball is extensive and fulfilling.  I was a Coach for Chandler National Little League Majors All Star team in 2007.  Our team was the Western Regional Champs and a semi-finalist in the Little League World Series.

Jason Conti

I was drafted out of the University of Pittsburgh in the 32nd round of the 1996 amateur draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks. After five years in the Diamondbacks organization (where I first met Ken Huckaby in 1999) including parts of two seasons at the Major League level – I was traded to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.  Prior to the start of the 2003 season, I was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. After the conclusion of the 2003 campaign, I signed as a free agent with the Texas Rangers and spent two years in the club's system in both the Majors and AAA.   I also played for the Yankees and Cardinals and in Italy for the Bologna Italieri of the Serie 1-A Championship League.  I had my first experience coaching in CNLL with Huck.  Our Red Sox did a great job and were League Champions!  I was  also the Assistant Caoch for the CNLL 2009  Majors & 2010 Juniors All Stars.  It was a great experience and has been equally rewarding to work with kids in the Little League system.  I am the Head Coach for the  BBC Generals 16U Club Ball team and also the JV Coach for Basha HS.

Greg Hansell

I was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 10th round of the  1989 amateur draft out of Kennedy High School in La Palma,California.  I am celebrating my 20th year in professional baseball.  I played with eleven different organizations over my 16 year career as a pitcher.  (Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Oakland A’s, Kansas City Royals, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees)    In 2000,  I had the opportunity to  play for the Hanshin Tigers in the Japanese Professional Baseball League where I pitched for three seasons.  I also had the opportunity to play in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Venezuela.  Following my playing career, I spent four years as an international scout for the Rakuten Eagles of Japan.  I currently work with a sports management company.  I reside in Chandler Arizona with my wife and three children.

Kory DeHaan

I was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 7th round of the 1997 MLB amateur draft out of Morningside College in Sioux City, IA.  I played 3 years in the pirates organization from Short Season A to Double A receiving 2 All Star Awards.  After the '99 season, I was selected by the San Diego Padres in the MLB Rule 5 draft and spent 4 seasons with them, including parts of 2 seasons in the Big Leagues.  After signing with the Cubs in '04, I failed a physical and had to get surgery on my throwing shoulder, which lead to my retiring at the end of '04.  During my career, I played all outfield positions, and mainly centerfield. I was very fortunate to learn from some of the best players in the game including Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman, and Ricky Henderson.  Currently I'm a Hitting Coach in the Padres Minor League system.  I'm very excited to be able to work with Huck and his awesome staff!  I hope to instill in the kids all the little things I've learned through out my time in baseball, and can't wait to see where that will take them!  I currently reside in Chandler with my wife and 3 girls.
